Specialist Respiratory Practitioner/Research Lead

Cielo currently works as a Specialist Respiratory Practitioner and Research Lead in the Integrated Respiratory Services of Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. Cielo has worked in a variety of roles specialising in Respiratory Nursing and Interventional Pulmonology in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital. Over this period, she developed incredibly both in managing patient care and managing research projects through research programs. She is a Faculty in Bronchoscopy and an AHCP/Nursing Research Supervisor/Mentor. An Improvement Coach of the Royal College of Physicians, and a Mental Health First Aid England National Instructor. She is a published author with global citations in various healthcare platforms.

She is a recipient of multiple awards in Health Care, including an Improvement Leadership Fellowship from the National Institute of Health and Care Research, a Joint Research Committee Grant awardee for her work in Bronchoscopy Nursing. Alumna Digital Leadership Florence Nightingale Foundation and 75 Faces of Research NHS England. She continues to advance her professional development as a Research Postgraduate at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.
